Aurora University women’s soccer player senior forward Jessica Novickas (Highland Park, Ill./Highland Park HS) was named the Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Spartan Women’s Soccer NCAA Bound

Aurora University’s women’s soccer team will represent the Northern Athletics Conference in the 2009 NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Championships. The Spartans received a Pool A berth after winning the Northern Athletics Conference tournament championship and will travel to the University of Chicago on Friday, November 13, 2009, to take on the host Maroons. Game time is set for 11:00 a.m. at the University of Chicago.

Spartans’ Budzinski Named CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District

The Aurora University Spartan football program had one student-athlete named to the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine District V Academic All-District Team. To be considered for the honor, the nominated student-athletes are required to maintain a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade point average throughout their academic career at AU.
