Aurora University men's basketball senior guard
Chad Trudo (Yorkville, IL/Yorkville HS) was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. On the week in which Trudo was named to the Anderson University All-Tournament team, he averaged 18.0 points per game. In the tourney, AU won their first game of the year (84-73 over Miami-Middletown) and took No. 1 ranked and defending national champion, Washington University, to overtime before losing 97-89. Trudo scored 25 points in both games and shot 17-of-25 from the field and 8-of-10 from three-point range. Thus far on the season, Trudo is averaging 16.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. He is shooting 53.2 percent from the field (25-of-47) and 47.8 percent from three-point range (11-of-23). Trudo and the Spartan men's basketball team will host Wisconsin Lutheran College this evening, Tuesday, December 2, 2008, in the Northern Athletics Conference season opener. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium. AU will play in Thornton Gymnasium on Saturday, December 6, 2008 against Edgewood College, Game time is set for 4:15 p.m. -END-
