Spartan Named Northern Athletics Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week

Aurora University men's basketball senior guard Chad Trudo (Yorkville, IL/Yorkville H.S.) was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week. On the week in which Trudo averaged 31.0 points in the Spartans' wins over Wisconsin Lutheran College (106-91) and Edgewood College (103-87). In AU's win over Wisconsin Lutheran, he scored a career high 32 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field and five-of-eight from three-point range. In AU's win over Edgewood, he tallied 30 points, going 16-of-16 from the free-throw line. He also moved himself 68 points shy of entering AU's 1,000 Point Club. Thus far on the season, Trudo is averaging 20.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. He is shooting 51.9 percent from the field (40-of-77), 48.6 percent from three-point range (18-of-37) and is shooting 95.8 percent from the free-throw line (46-of-48). Trudo and the Spartan men's basketball team will host Milwaukee School of Engineering on Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium. -END-
