Aurora University sophomore Ricky Hernandez (Yorkville, Ill./Yorkville H.S.) was named Northern Athletics Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending March 24, 2013. 
 Hernandez was key in Aurora's 1-0 week with a 9-0 victory over Purdue University-Calumet on Saturday, March 23.
 
Playing both No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles, Hernandez won both his matches, winning 6-0, 6-0 in singles and 8-1 in doubles, partnering with Matt Butler.
 
Next action for the Spartans, currently 1-4 overall, comes on Wednesday, March 27, when they host Waubonsee Community College. Match time is set for 2:45 p.m. at Washington Middle School in Aurora, Ill.
