After Typhoon Haiyan impacted much of the Philippines in November 2013, several international organizations requested assistance for needed supplies.  Brad Anthony, a volunteer coach for AU that works with Athletes for Action, organized a team donation to help provide athletic gear for children to continue playing sports, even amid the destruction left behind by the typhoon.

"Brad Anthony has been a great asset to the team this year, initiated the idea to have our team donate any extra items for those children in need of basic athletic supplies," said assistant coach Chirstian Foote. "We as a program are incredibly happy that our players can assist
children around the world through the sport of soccer. Providing international service is something that our players have always wanted to do, and we look to continue donating items in the future."

The AU Men's Soccer program was able to donate several boxes of uniforms, balls, shin guards, socks, shorts, and shoes for children playing on the Los Amigos Soccer Team in Negros, Philippines.  Players donated their own soccer cleats, shorts, and other athletic apparel while AU game jerseys were sent for the children to have team uniforms. Children in the Philippines received their gear in early January 2014.
