Early in the second, AU found themselves on a power play and they converted just four seconds later. Marshall scored his second of the night when he grabbed a rebound off a

CUW scored midway through the second period to cut the Spartan lead to 2-1.
AU led 2-1 after two periods with
Jared Rutledge stopping 26 shots to that point.
Leading 2-1 late in the third, AU found themselves down a man for the final 1:30 of the game. CUW pulled their goalie and AU faced a 6 on 4.
