This initiative, started in 2006, has been a collaborative effort by the NACC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) to make a positive impact in each institution's respective community. SAAC coordinates this annual canned food drive, turning it into a community service competition among the 13 institutions in the conference. Aurora University led the way with 210 Spartan student-athletes earning recognition. The award requires the student-athlete to maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average for the academic year at AU and compete in a NACC sponsored sport in the 2018-2019 season.
