Drew Gay (Marsailles, Ill./Marquette H.S.) was named Northern Athletics
Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending May 12, 2013.
Gay won his only start of the week, a 1-0 win in the NAC Tournament over Rockford College. He threw a complete game shutout, striking out 13, scattered six hits and walked one.
For the 2013 season, Gay had a 3-5 record with a 3.21 earned run average. In 70 innings pitched, he struck out 78, allowing 54 hits and walking 22. Gay had 10 starts on the year with four complete games.
The Spartans finished the 2013 season with a 25-13 overall record.
