The Aurora University softball team will enter the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference tournament for the tenth straight season. The Spartans finished the 2016 regular season with a 30-10 overall record and 19-3 in the NACC. AU earned the first seed and will have a first round bye before facing the winner of Dominican University and Lakeland College on Friday, May 6 at 4:00 p.m.

All-Time NACC Championship History –

• AU has won the seven of ten regular season championships since joining the NACC, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
• Benedictine won the other three season championship 2010, 2011, 2012.
• The Spartans have won four of nine NACC Tournament Championships, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2015.
• Benedictine has won four of nine NACC Tournament Championships, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014
• Concordia University Wisconsin has won one, 2009.
• AU is 20-10 (.667) in the NACC tournament

About the Spartans –

• Freshman Elaine Walker leads the NACC with a batting average of .492 with 11 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 36 runs batted in and 30 runs scored.
• Junior Mandey Shrader has .337 batting average with 11 doubles, one triple, one home run, 37 runs scored and 17 RBI's
• Junior Laura Dierking has a batting average of .367 with one double, six home runs, 28 runs scored and 32 runs batted in.
• Sophomore Larkin Langston has a batting average of .336 with eight doubles, eight home runs, 23 runs scored and 41 runs batted in.
• In the circle for the Spartans Vanessa Hartzell has a record of 18-6 with an era of 1.63.

About NACC Opponents –

• Concordia University Wisconsin comes in as the second seed with a record of 25-15 overall and 15-7 in the NACC.
• Benedictine University comes in as the third seed with a record of 27-13 overall record and 15-7 in the NACC.
• Dominican University comes in as the fourth seed with a 25-13 overall record and 15-7 in the NACC. Dominican gave AU two of their three losses in the NACC regular season.
