Aurora University Athletics in conjunction with BSN Sports proudly announces the recipients of the BSN Spartan Athletes of the Week award. The honors are earned based on the student-athletes performances on their respective playing surface the previous week.

This week's honors go to AU student-athletes, juniors TJ Ramsey and JP Chaney of football and senior Alina Anderson of women's basketball.

TJ Ramsey and JP Chaney, football - 
Ramsey earned the honor after he led AU to a 59-26 win at Concordia Chicago with five rushing touchdowns in the game. Ramsey finished the day with 28 carries for 159 yards and five scores while completing one pass for 37 yards. He finished the day averaging 5.7 yards per rush and surpassed 1,000 yards on the ground on the season with the performance.

Chaney earned the honor after he helped lead AU to a 59-26 win at Concordia Chicago. Chaney had four sacks on the day with a forced fumble and fumble recovery. He had nine total tackles on the day with 7.5 coming as tackles for loss which sets a NACC record. His four sacks is tied for second most in a game for a Spartans and his 13.0 on the season is third most in a single season.

Alina Anderson, women's basketball - 
Anderson earned the honor after she led AU to a 89-65 home opening win over Knox. She had a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds while adding four steals, two blocked shots and two assists.
