Aurora University senior forward Xavier Carrillo (Tempe, Ariz./McClintock HS) was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 16, 2012.
Carrillo led the Spartans to a 2-0 week, including a 3-2 NAC season opening contest win against Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). Carrillo tallied three goals including two in the win over MSOE and one in a 3-1 win over Knox College. He scored the game-winning goal in each of the Spartan wins on the week.
On the season, Carrillo has a team-leading four goals for the 4-2 Spartans. Next action for Carrillo and the Spartan men's soccer team comes on Wednesday, September 19 when they travel to Marian University. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Fond du lac, Wis.
