Aurora University junior midfielder Anthony Parra (Genoa, Ill./Genoa-Kingston) was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 30, 2012.
Parra carried the Spartans to a 2-0 week with five goals, which included game-winners in both victories over Rockford College (8-0) and Concordia University Wisconsin (3-2). In the 3-2 double-overtime win against Concordia Wisconsin, Parra tallied the hat trick to provide the AU offense of the day.
On the season, Parra has a team-leading six goals for the Spartans, 6-3-1 overall; 3-1-1 in the NAC. Next action for Parra and the Spartan men's soccer team comes on Tuesday, October 2 when they host Concordia University Chicago. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. on Vago Field.
