Aurora University junior linebacker Darren Harms (Oak Forest, Ill./Tinley Park H.S.) was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Football Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
Harms had a tremendous day on defense in the Spartans’ 44-7 win over Rockford University. He scored the game’s first touchdown on a 60-yard interception return and added a pass break-up and eight tackles to the afternoon.
 
On the season, Harms finished third on the team with 53 tackles which included one and a half quarterback sacks, two and a half tackles for loss and a forced fumble to go along with his interception for a touchdown.
 
The Spartans concluded the 2013 season with a 3-7 overall record and were 2-4 in the NACC.
