AU football student-athlete Travon Royal is this week's Spartan Male Athlete of the Week.

The junior punter has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
Royal received the weekly honor after he had a 39.9 net punting average, with a long of 50 yards and had four punts downed inside the 20 yard line. The big play of the game came from him as well as he ran for the first down on the fake punt that set up the eventual game-winning touchdown as the Spartans defeated Loras College 14-9 Saturday afternoon on Vago Field.
 
The Spartans return to action on Vago Field when they host Trine University on Saturday, September 17. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
