Aurora University men’s soccer player, senior midfielder Justin Pedersen (Carol Stream, Ill./Wheaton North HS), was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 25, 2009.
On the week, Pedersen led the Spartans to a 2-0 week with a 2-0 win at Lakeland College and a 5-2 victory at Wisconsin Lutheran College. He scored a goal in each contest, while adding two assists in the 5-2 win at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
On the season, Pedersen has five goals and a team-leading eight assists. The eight assists currently have him in a tie for third on the all-time list for assists in a season; he is two assists shy of second place on the all-time single season list.
Pedersen and the Spartan men’s soccer team are in action next on Thursday, October 29, 2009, when they travel to Augustana College in a non-conference match-up. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. in Rock Island, Ill.
