Aurora University freshman pitcher Steph Renner was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Pitcher of the Week, the final award of the 2018 season.
 
Renner went 4-1 with five complete games in the 2018 NACC Tournament to lead the Spartans to the championship round. Over the five game stretch, she had 25 strikeouts and a 3.39 earned run average.

On the season, Renner finished with a 14-5 overall record and a 2.13 earned run average. She had 17 complete games, two shutouts and struck out 82 in 134-2.3 innings pitched.

The Spartan softball team finished the 2018 season with a 29-17 overall record and were 16-6 in the NACC regular season which was good for a third place finish.
