Aurora University women's golf junior Lauren Anderson was named to the CoSIDA District VII Academic All-District team, which was announced on Thursday. Anderson was selected to the women's at-large team for her combined performances in the classroom and on the course.

CoSIDA Academic All-District teams are selected by CoSIDA member sports information directors within the district based on the student-athletes' academic prowess while being a steady influence on their respective athletic field. To be considered for the honor, the nominated student-athletes are required to maintain a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade-point average throughout their academic career at AU. Anderson will now move on to the Academic All-America selection process.
 
Anderson, a junior marketing major finished the 2017-2018 season averaging an 89.9 over 10 rounds with a round best of 82 and was named a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Golf All-Conference performer for the third straight year. She was the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Elite 90 winner and has been a NACC and AU Scholar-Athlete in 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and will be in 2017-2018 when those teams are announced.

The Aurora University women's golf team finished second in the 2017-2018 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship.
