Aurora University women's volleyball senior setter
Emily Lines has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week.

Lines was named to the NACC honor after being selected to the Washington University, St. Louis Baden Invitational All-Tournament Team. She led the Spartans to a 3-2 record last week, which saw AU defeat Dominican University 3-1 in the NACC contest to clinch an undefeated 12-0 record in conference play. She then helped AU defeat nationally ranked WashU 3-0.
She tallied over 20 assists in all five contests on the week with a high of 45 in the win over Dominican, averaging 10.2 per set. Lines collected double-doubles against Dominican (45 assists and 25 digs), DePauw University (31 assists and 10 digs) and Wartburg College (23 assists and 13 digs). Over the five matches, she averaged 35 assists and 11.4 digs per match.
On the season, Lines surpassed 1,000 assists on the season during the WashUÂ Tournament.

Next action for the Spartan women's volleyball team comes on Thursday, November 1 when they host the semi-final round of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament. Game time is set 7:00 p.m. against a NACC Tournament first-round winner on Lancaster Court in Thornton Gymnasium.
