The Aurora University football team and offense had another record setting afternoon on Saturday in the Spartans 48-22 victory at Elmhurst College. In the performance, AU senior wide receiver Jacolby Maxwell was honored by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference as the NACC Offensive Player of the Week.

Maxwell had a record setting day for the Spartans, having caught an AU record 13 passes for 149 yards and four touchdowns. The four touchdowns is an AU single game record and ties a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference single game mark.

In two weeks as a Spartan, Maxwell has 18 catches for 324 yards and six touchdowns as the AU offense has scored 14 touchdowns in a pair of wins.

Maxwell and the 2-0 Spartans are in action next on Saturday, September 21 when they travel to Hope College. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m. (cst) / 1:00 p.m. (est) in Holland, Michigan.
