Aurora University freshman outside hitter Sydnei Avery has been recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference as the NACC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week. 

Avery led AU to a 3-0 week, had 4.63 kills per set over nine sets last week as AU posted 3-0 sweeps over Rockford University, MSOE, and Concordia University Wisconsin. She posted 10 kills against Rockford and followed it up with 18 kills against MSOE before finishing off the week with nine kills, three block assists and two service aces while handing CUW its first NACC loss of the season. Avery remains among the Division III leaders in kills per set.

On the season, Avery is averaging 4.06 kills per set while hitting .237. She has nine service aces with 0.78 digs and 0.44 blocks per set.
