Aurora University Spartan men's volleyball junior outside hitter Thomas Kovanic was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference player of the week, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Kovanic earned the NACC honor after he had 14 kills in 19 attempts with four digs, two serving aces and a block as the Spartans defeated NACC foe Rockford University 3-0..

On the season, Kovanic led the Spartans with 3.35 kills per set and 104 total while hitting ..212. He had nine aces with 55 digs and 30 blocks as AU finished the coronavirus (COVID-19) shortened season with a 12-4 overall record and 2-1 in the NACC.
