Aurora University men’s cross country runner sophomore Drew Schmitt (Batavia, Ill./Batavia H.S.) has been named Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Schmitt set an AU school record in the 8K, finishing 26th with a time of 26:38.9 at the AU Spartan Classic, leading the Spartans to a fifth-place finish in the 8K event.
The next action for Schmitt and the men’s cross country team comes on Saturday, September 18, 2010, when they travel to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcon Classic. Meet time is set for 11:00 a.m. in Mequon, Wis.
