Throughout the 2020-2021 year, the Aurora University athletic department will highlight the senior student-athletes. The seniors will provide some insight to their time at AU while getting to know them as individuals they have grown into in their time as a Spartan.

Senior Spotlight: Josh McKinstry (Men's Volleyball)
Major:Â Exercise Science
What are your plans after graduation? Attend PT School or get my masters in Athletic Training.
What is your most memorable/best academic experience at AU? Increasing our team GPA.
What is your most memorable athletic moment at AU? Winning against Ben U in 5 sets in front of a packed house.
Other than the sport(s) you play, what other sports activity are you good at? Basketball, running, and swimming.
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby or activity? I like swimming and anything with water sports.
What is your favorite meal in the cafeteria? Macaroni and Chicken Nuggets.
What AU faculty or staff member had the greatest impact on you and why? James Cain.
What do you enjoy most and least about practice? I enjoy any defensive drills and my least favorite is the Tic Tac Toe conditioning game we play.
Do you have any pregame rituals? Pray before every game and thank God I get to play the sport I love.
What advice would you give to underclassmen at AU? Enjoy every moment of your four years, they fly by.
If you had to listen to one song on repeat forever, what would it be and why? I Called Mama by Tim McGraw.
What is something that people may not know about you but should? I never played volleyball in High School or in Club.
If you could spend an hour each with three people (past or present), who would you choose and why? Tim McGraw, Blake Lively, and Lolo Jones.
