Throughout the 2020-2021 year, the Aurora University athletic department will highlight the senior student-athletes. The seniors will provide some insight to their time at AU while getting to know them as individuals they have grown into in their time as a Spartan.

Senior Spotlight: Kyle Blunt (Baseball)
Major:Â Business Administration
What are your plans after graduation? Get into real estate or some form of administration role at a company.
What is your most memorable/best academic experience at AU? Bus rides with the team.
What is your most memorable athletic moment at AU? Winning championships every year.
Other than the sport(s) you play; what other sports activity are you good at? Basketball, Golf and Mario cart (esports).
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby or activity? Hanging out with friends and traveling.
What is your favorite meal in the cafeteria? Chicken nuggets.
What AU faculty or staff member had the greatest impact on you and why? Coach Stevens and Meredith. Coach is someone who cares about his players as a person before a baseball player. He understands that to be great on the field you have to be in shape mentally.
Meredith keeps the team together and makes sure we are always taken care of. We wouldn't win as many games as we do if we didn't have her. I could never thank her enough for everything she's done for us
What do you enjoy most and least about practice? I enjoy being challenged by the coaches every day. I do not like the running whatsoever.
Do you have any pregame rituals? Listen to music for a short time and then sit in Silence until I'm ready to start throwing.
What advice would you give to underclassmen at AU? Go to class, make sure your professor knows who you are at a familiar level.
What is something that people may not know about you but should? I have a dog named Tucker Z.
If you could spend an hour each with three people (past or present), who would you choose and why? Morgan Freeman, Seth Rogan and Kevin Hart.
