Throughout the 2020-2021 year, the Aurora University athletic department will highlight the senior student-athletes. The seniors will provide some insight to their time at AU while getting to know them as individuals they have grown into in their time as a Spartan.
Senior Spotlight: Timothy Breiter (Men's Volleyball)

What are your plans after graduation? My plan after graduation is to work with an organization training athletes at the collegiate and professional level.
What is your most memorable/best academic experience at AU? My most memorable academic experiences at AU is having group study sessions in the library until it closes during finals week.
What is your most memorable athletic moment at AU? My most memorable athletic moments at AU are winning away games because of the team bonding that comes with traveling and being on the road.
Other than the sport(s) you play, what other sports activity are you good at? Other activities that I'm good at are playing sports such as basketball and soccer, and recreational games such as pool, cornhole, and spikeball.
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby or activity? Outside of sports my favorite activities are playing video games, reading self-development books, and driving around listening to music with my friends.
What is your favorite meal in the cafeteria? My favorite meal in the cafeteria is breakfast because you can never go wrong with eggs and bacon.
What AU faculty or staff member had the greatest impact on you and why? My volleyball coachÂ
Dan Ames has had the greatest impact on me because he continuously challenges my teammates and I to focus on the details and be the best version of ourselves on and off the court.
What do you enjoy most and least about practice? What i enjoy the most about practice is the level of competition we have in the gym, and what I enjoy the least is setting up and taking down the nets.
Do you have any pregame rituals? My pregame rituals are eating a healthy meal the night before and listening to music in the locker room before warmups.
What advice would you give to underclassmen at AU? Advice I would give to an underclassmen is to have a planner to stay organized and to incorporate multiple study sessions throughout the week to keep up with coursework.
If you had to listen to one song on repeat forever, what would it be and why? I would listen to Not Afraid by Eminem because it was my most played song in high school.
What is something that people may not know about you but should? Something that people do not know about me is that I have a passion for traveling and I plan on doing a lot of it in the future.
If you could spend an hour each with three people (past or present), who would you choose and why? I would spend an hour with Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime to train with him, Bill Gates to discuss business, and Elon Musk to talk about his journey becoming an entrepreneur.
