Aurora University women's golfer Kallie Sakamoto was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Athlete of the Week.

Sakamoto the two-time and defending NACC individual champion - started off her fall 2021 season strong, winning the North Central (Ill.) Early Bird Invitational with a 5-over 77 and finishing in a tie for seventh place at the Carthage Battle for the Border with a 160 total. She owns the top scoring average in the NACC with a 79.0 over three rounds. Sakamoto led the Spartans to a team win at North Central and a tie for sixth place in a competitive 15-team field at Carthage.

Next action for the Spartan women's golf team comes on Monday, September 13 and Tuesday, September 14 when they travel to the Judson University Invitational at the Golf Club of Illinois in Algonquin, Ill.
