Aurora University football senior safety Sean Reyna was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Reyna helped pave the way to a 70-20 victory over Rockford University on Saturday, September 25, a dominating and record setting effort for the Spartans.
Reyna picked off a pair of passes and broke up three others in AU's victory. He returned the first interception 100 yards for a touchdown, equaling an NCAA, NACC and AU record. Reyna also posted seven tackles, including four solo stops in the game.
On the season, Reyna now has four interceptions with 18 tackles and six pass break-ups.
