Aurora University Spartan men’s lacrosse freshman goalkeeper Adam Holka (Howell, Mich./Hartland H.S.) was named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 13, 2011.
Holka went 1-1 in goal on the week for the Spartans, who are 1-3 overall in 2011. The freshman had 22 saves with 61 shots that headed his direction. He allowed 13 goals in the two games, which included seven in AU's 16-7 win over Randolph, the first in the program's history. He then allowed six goals as the Spartans fell at Ferrum College 6-4.
Next action for Holka and the Spartan men's lacrosse team comes on Saturday, March 26, 2011, when they travel to take on Berry College. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. in Danville, Kentucky at Centre College.
