Aurora University men's hockey student-athlete Adam Keyes was named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Players of the Week following AU's weekend series sweep of Concordia University Wisconsin.
Keyes becomes the third different Aurora player to be named NCHA Offensive Player of the Week this season, coming up big as the Spartans swept Concordia University Wisconsin to remain unbeaten in league play and in first place at 10-0-2 (31 points). On Friday night his goal marked the 100th point for his career, becoming the first AU hockey player to surpass the 100-point plateau as the team held on for the 6-5 victory over the Falcons after skating out to a big lead. In the 6-1 win on Saturday at CUW, he collected three more points with a goal and two assists. The goal was his 36th career goal and moved him ahead of teammate Jack Jaunich for first place on the AU all-time scoring list.
Next action for the Spartan men's hockey team comes on Friday, January 27, when they travel to Marian University. Puck drop is slated for 7:00 p.m. in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
