Aurora University senior Madison Etheridge was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Outdoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. 

Etheridge earned the honor after she set a new Aurora school record in the 800-meter run at the 2024 Chicagoland Championships on April 6. Her time of 2:17.67 set a new personal best by three seconds and broke a 10-year-old school record by half a second. It is the fastest time in the NACC this year by nearly five seconds. She currently ranks 36th nationally. Etheridge then anchored the Aurora 4x400 relay to a NACC-leading time of 4:10.10 to finish third overall.

Next action for the Spartan women's track and field team comes on Saturday, April 13 at the Wheaton College Invitational in Wheaton, Illinois.
