Aurora University football defensive back Quintarius Davis were named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week as selected by a panel of the NACC Athletic Communication professionals.

Davis had two interceptions in AU's 56-20 victory over Benedictine, returning one 45 yards for a touchdown. The two takeaways pushed his season total to six, while the pick-six was his third of the season. The interception return started the day's scoring as the Spartans clinched their sixth-straight NACC football crown and posted their 45th consecutive league win.

On the season, Davis has a team-leading six interceptions with three having been returned for touchdowns. He adds eight pass break-ups, 32 tackles and two fumble recoveries to his yearly accolades.

Next action for the Spartan football team comes on Saturday, November 9 when they travel to Eureka College. Kick-off is slated for 6:00 p.m. in Eureka, Illinois.
