Aurora University men's soccer forward Branden Dolezal was recognized for his combined efforts in the classroom and on the field today when the College Sports Communicators (CSC - formerly CoSIDA) announced the members of the 2024 Men's Soccer Academic All-America teams.

The CSC Academic All-America® honor is chosen based off the student-athletes combined prowess on the field and in the classroom is the latest achievement. Cobbett becomes the 50th Spartan student-athlete and second from the AU women's lacrosse program to be named a CSC/CoSIDA Academic All-America. 

The Academic All-America honor for Dolezal adds to his 2024 season in which he was previously named an United Soccer Coaches (USC) Fourth-Team All-Region performer.  

Dolezal was a 2024 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference First-Team All-Conference performer. He finished second on the Spartans with 44 points and 18 goals while adding eight assists with two of his 18 goals coming as game-winning goals.

The Spartan men's soccer team finished the 2023 season with a 14-3-4 overall record and finished as 2023 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Co-Champions with a 10-0-2 NACC record. The NACC title is the second consecutive for the Spartans.
