Aurora University senior Deedee Colon Maldonado (women's track) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of March 31-April 6, 2025, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Colon Maldonado, a senior from Aurora, Illinois, finished runner-up in two events at the Chicagoland Championships over the weekend. In both events she was the top Division III finisher. On April 4, she ran 4:31.91 in the 1,500, which leads the NACC by more than 12 seconds and ranks her eighth in Division III. The following day, she ran 9:41.16 in the 3,000. This is a new Aurora record by 17 seconds, and is the 12th fastest outdoor 3000-meter run in NCAA Division III history. The honor is the seventh indoor and outdoor in 2025 for Colon Maldonado.

Next scheduled action for the Spartan track and field teams comes Saturday, April 12 at the Wheaton College Classic in Wheaton, Illinois.
