Aurora University women's cross country runner sophomore Anna Perkowski (River Grove, Ill./East Leyden H.S.) has been named Northern Athletics Conference Women's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
Perkowski finished second with a school record time of 19:54 and led AU to the overall meet title at the 5K Waubonsee Chief Invitational.
 
The next action for Perkowski and the women's cross country team comes on Friday, September 9, 2011, when they host the AU Spartan Classic. Meet time is set for 5:00 p.m. at Oakhurst Forest Preserve in Aurora, Ill. with the men's race starting at 5:45 p.m.
