Aurora University softball junior catcher Tristan Wilcox (Lafayette, Ind./McCutcheon H.S.) was named Northern Athletics Conference Softball Position Player of the Week for the week ending April 1.
Wilcox hit .538 on the week with a double and two home runs for the Spartans. In a series sweep of Rockford College, she pounded out five hits, which included the home runs, and had five runs batted in. Defensively, she was perfect in 15 chances.
On the season, Wilcox is hitting .455 with five doubles, two home runs, 11 runs batted in and four runs scored.
Next action for the Spartans, currently 5-9 overall and 2-2 in the NAC, comes today, Tuesday, April 3, when they host the Concordia University Chicago. Game one is set for 3 p.m. at the Stuart Sports Complex in Aurora, Ill.
