Aurora University Spartan women's soccer coach Kanute Drugan earned his 200th career victory with the Spartans 4-0 win over Concordia University Wisconsin on Sunday, September 19, 2010.
With the victory, Drugan continues to extend his record as the Spartans women's soccer coach and is the first soccer coach at AU to surpass 200 wins.
In his 14th season as the Head Coach of the Spartan women's soccer program, Drugan holds a 200-76-12 (.715) record.
Within the NCAA entering the 2010 season, Drugan's career record places him among the elite coaches in the history of NCAA women's soccer.
· 25th All-time in Division III for win percentage (.718)
· 31st All-time in Division III for total wins (195)
· 52nd All-time in all divisions (I, II and III) combined for win percentage (.718).
The Spartans won eight of the last ten championships with the Northern Illinois Iowa Conference (NIIC). AU won conference championships in 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2005. In the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC), Drugan led the Spartans to the first-ever NAC conference championship in 2006. In 2009 AU won their fourth consecutive NAC championship and the eleventh conference championship in the past fourteen years for the Spartans.
