Box Score The Aurora University Spartan women's soccer team wrapped up the first ever Chelsea Lloyd Memorial Classic on Sunday evening on Vago Field by defeating University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh 3-2 in a double-overtime thriller.

As they had done in the first game of the season on Friday, AU responded quickly to tie the game. Sophomore
Nicci Bermudes tallied the goal at 12:57 off an assist from senior
Brittany Roydhouse.
The evenly played opening half would go into halftime tied 1-1. Oshkosh finished with seven shots while AU had six.
The second half saw the Spartans dominate the stat sheet, out-shooting Oshkosh 15-3 but the scoreboard did not show for the drastic difference in shots.

Nicole Wolfe tallied her second goal of the season, blistering a shot off a Titan defender and into the net for a 2-1 AU lead.
But the visitors hung in and tied the game 2-2 just 10 minutes later as Amanda Baalke scored off an assist from Anna Beckerleg.
The Spartansput pressure on but could not come up with the needed go ahead goal before regulation came to an end setting up the golden goal overtime sessions.
AU out-shot Oshkosh 3-1 in the first overtime but neither team could light the lamp.
In the second overtime, Wolfe struck for the second time with 3:43 remaining. Her shot from 20 yards out found its way through several defenders and past the Titan goalkeeper for the game winner.
With the win, AU is now 2-0 on the season. Next action for the Spartan women's soccer team comes on Saturday,
September 7 when they travel to the University of Chicago. Game time is at Noon in Chicago, Ill.
