The Aurora University football team wrapped up the 2014 season with a road non-conference match up at Albion College on Saturday afternoon. AU dropped the season finale 62-13.
After winning the coin toss an deferring to the second-half, the AU defense forced a Albion punt. The Spartan offense took only six plays with three runs over 14 yards including a 33 yard run by
Danny Logiurato that set up a one yard leap by
Brandon Evans for the score and 7-0 AU lead.
Albion answered the Spartan score with touchdowns on the next two drives to take a 14-7 lead after one quarter.
The Spartan offense was held in check by the Albion defense and the Briton high powered offense added to their lead. AT the half, AU trailed 34-7.
Trailing 41-7, the Spartan offense got on the board again. Following a fumble recovery on a punt return, AU had the ball at the Albion 39 yard line. Six plays later,
Drew Cole connected with
Peter Rizzi for a 16 yard score. After a failed two point attempt, AU trailed 41-13.
Albion scored once more in the third and twice in the fourth quarter for the eventual 62-13 final score.
Evans finished the day with 148 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries,
Jordan Linson had 14 tackles and
Tanner Wilcox had 10 tackles and an interception. His 10 tackles gives him 110 for the season.

AU concludes the 2014 season with a 1-9 overall record and were 1-5 in the NACC.
