The Aurora University men's cross country team competed in the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships
Saturday November 15, 2014 at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, Wisconsin. The men placed 14
th out of the 44 competing teams.
The Top finisher for the AU men's cross country 8k race was sophomore
Matt Meyers. Meyers placed 73rd in the region with a time of 25:48. Also placing in the top 100 were sophomore
Jimmy Baeskens placing 80th with a time of 26:05, freshman T.J. Pitcock (89th- 26:17) and junior
Calvin Robinson, (93rd- 26:20). Â
Other finishers for Aurora were senior
Brandon Miller (102nd with a huge personal best of 26:27), junior
Alex Duncan (116th - 26:48), and senior
Nick Cole (139th- 27:12).
The Spartan men broke the NACC record for the least amount of points scored in a regional race. Â They also tied the 2009 Edgewood men for the highest NACC regional finish. With 5 of their top-7 returning next season, the future looks very bright for the Spartan men.
