The Aurora University men's tennis team traveled to Milwaukee, Wis. on Saturday, April 26 for the final day of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference regular season schedule. AU fell to Wisconsin Lutheran and Milwaukee School of Engineering by a score of 6-3 in each match,
Match One
Wis. Lutheran 6
Aurora 3
In the opening match of the day, AU got a victory in doubles action from the No. 3 doubles partners of
Matt Butler and Philip Molley 8-4. Singles wins came from
Blaine Hrovat at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-3 and No. 3 singles
Brian Koski won 6-2, 6-3.
Match Two
MSOE 6
Aurora 3
In the second match and a chance to create a five-way tie for first in the NACC, AU would fall to MSOE 6-3. Hrovat was the lone singles winner in the match when he won 6-3, 6-4.
In doubles action, No. 1 doubles
Ricky Hernandez and Koski won 8-4 while Hrovat and
Jake Lipka won at No. 2 doubles 8-1.
With the losses, AU is now 6-6 overall and 6-3 in the NACC. AU will be the No. 5 seed in the NACC tournament and travel to Wisconsin Lutheran on Monday, April 28.
