Aurora University football Head Coach Rick Ponx and the Spartan football staff has announced the addition of 60 newcomers that have submitted their deposit to attend Aurora University, with the intent to play football beginning in the fall of 2014.

"Talent and numbers make this one of the best incoming classes in school history," said Ponx. "Our incoming freshmen and transfers student-athletes will fill out the 130 player roster that will allow us to bring depth and competition to every position. The addition of an eight game freshman schedule will offer opportunities for every player on the incoming roster to see playing time and develop."

The Spartan football team will open the 2014 season on Saturday, September 6 at 6:00 p.m. at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois.
