On Saturday September 12, 2014 the Aurora University Men's Cross Country team competed in the Falcon Invitational hosted by Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, Wisconsin. Out of the 15 teams racing in the event, the Spartan men placed fourth.

Sophomore DJ Wolfram was the first finisher for Aurora placing 23rd with a time of 27:40. Also finishing in the top 30 for the Spartans was Matt Swanson in 28th place and a time of 27:50.

Others finishing well for Aurora were junior Nick Quiroz (33rd- 28:08), sophomore Ricky Perkins (35th- 28:14), sophomore Nick Shaw (38th- 28:21), freshman Anthony Barrios (40th- 28:21), senior Roberto Gonzalez (56th- 28:56), sophomore Dan Morgan (78th- 29:49), senior Doug Belling (85th- 30:08), freshman Bruce McCaffrey (102nd -30:43), freshman Anthony Herchenroeder (101st -31:04), freshman Aaron Lehman (105th- 31:18), freshman Dylan Schatz (107th- 31:26), sophomore Cody McDougall (117th- 32:00), and sophomore John Reyes (127th -32:54).
Next action for the Spartan cross country team comes on Friday, September 26 when they travel to Augustana College. Meet time is set for 5:00 p.m. at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational in Rock Island, Illinois at Saukie Golf Course.
