The Aurora University women's tennis team traveled to River Forest, Illinois to take on the Cougars of Concordia University Chicago on Tuesday afternoon. AU won in a relatively easy 8-1 NACC contest.

The Spartans opened the match by sweeping the doubles play. Doubles teams of Christy Savellano and Chloe Madison won 8-2, Micaela Mascha and Abby Matayka won 8-1 and Jordyn Withey and Jamie Huff won 8-4. In singles action, Savellano won 6-2, 6-0, Madison won 6-0, 6-0, Mascha won 6-1, 6-1, Melanie Findley won 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 and Withey won 6-0, 6-2.

With the win, AU is now 5-4 overall and 5-2 in the NACC. Next action for the Spartan women's tennis team comes on Friday, September 19 when they host Illinois Valley Community College. Match time is set for 3:00 p.m. at Washington Middle School in Aurora, Illinois.
