The Aurora University women's tennis team concluded the fall portion of the schedule on Saturday, September 27 with an 8-1 win at Lakeland College.
AU swept doubles action with
Christy Savellano and
Chloe Madison winning 8-0,
Micaela Mascha and
Abby Matayka won 8-0 and
Jordyn Withey and
Jamie Huff won by default.
As the match turned to singles action, five of the six Spartan competitors won with Withey winning by default, Madison won 6-0, 6-1, Mascha won 6-0, 6-0, Matayka won 6-1, 6-0 and
Melanie Findlay won 6-4, 1-6, 10-5.
With the win, AU is 7-5 overall and 7-3 in the NACC. The Spartans are in a three-way tie for third place and must await the tie-breaker to find out the seed in the NACC Tournament in April of 2015.
