The Aurora University baseball team is off to a fast start to the 2015 season at the program's annual spring break trip to central Florida. The Spartans are 3-0 thus far behind a combination of strong pitching and defense with timely hitting.
After the Spartans first game of the trip against Capital University was rained out, AU swept a doubleheader from King's College, winning 8-1 and 3-1. The Spartans continued the winning ways on Tuesday morning with an 11-0 seven inning victory of Anna Maria College.
Through 21 innings, the AU defense has not made an error while the pitching staff has a 0.86 earned run average, allowing just two earned runs.

Offensively for the Spartans, the team is hitting .395, led by Danny Walczak (four for five with three runs scored),
Tanner Oymaian (six for eight, two doubles and four runs batted in) and
Nick Turner (5 for 10, two doubles and three runs scored).
AU is in action again on
Tuesday, March 3, 2015 when they play in Winter Haven, Florida. AU takes on St. Vincent College at 2:30 p.m. (EST) and Clark University at 6:00 p.m. (EST).
