In their first Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference contests of the 2015 season, the Aurora University men's tennis team split, beating Wisconsin Lutheran 6-3 and losing to MSOE 7-2.
AU took a 2-1 lead in doubles against Wisconsin Lutheran and then coasted to the 6-3 win. Senior
Brian Koski won a marathon match at two singles 6-4, 6-7 (3-7), 7-5.
In the match against MSOE, the Spartans were down 2-1 after doubles and did not have much more luck in singles with the only win coming at three singles from
Jake Lipka (6-4, 6-4).
With the split, AU is now 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the NACC. Next action for the Spartan men's tennis team comes on
Friday, April 10, 2015 when they host Illinois Valley Community College in an exhibition match. Match time is set for 3:30 p.m. at the Washington Middle School courts in Aurora, Illinois.
