The Aurora University women's bowling team competed in the Warhawk Classic in Kenosha, Wisconsin on
Friday, November 11,
Saturday, November 12 and
Sunday, November 13. The Spartans finished the weekend with a 2-9 record and in 16
th place.

During day one of the Warhawk Classic the Spartans bowled baker games and finished the day with a 0-4 record. The AU women started the tournament against Elmhurst College and fell short (701-855) before taking on Stephen F. Austin University (755-1026), McKendree University (838-1104) and Maryville Unversity (743-901).

On
Saturday, the matches consisted of traditional games where the Spartans grabbed their first win of the tournament and had a 1-3 record for the day. The AU women took losses to Valparaiso University (807-869) and Vanderbilt University (852-1062) before winning against Lincoln University (833-691). After the win, the Spartans dropped to Arkansas State University (809-1099) and brought their tournament record to 1-7.
Meghan Bradshaw took the high series at 908. Ariana Franklin had the high game for the Spartans with a 223 and Bradshaw followed close with a 221. Â

Sunday, the final day of the tournament, brought about bracket play. AU's first round was against Maryville University where they fell short 1023-1106. This loss led the Spartans into a match against Lincoln University where they came up on top (641-568). The final game, which was against Maryville University that resulted in a loss (560-666) and put the Spartans at a 2-9, 16
th place finish.

The Spartan women now hold an overall record of 4-16. Next action for the AU women's bowling team comes on
Saturday, January 14 and
Sunday, January 15 when they travel to the Roto Grip Eagles Baker Challenge in Addison, Illinois.
