For the first time this season the Aurora University football team suffered a loss in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference contest, falling at Lakeland University 55-25.

HOW IT HAPPENED
AU fell behind Lakeland 22-0 in the first quarter before putting together a drive ending in a
Zac Mirabelli 29-yard field goal.
Early in the second quarter, Spartan
Geron Rogers connected with
Justin Gibbons on an 89-yard touchdown pass and AU trailed 22-10.
Lakeland scored twice in the remaining time of the second and AU would trail 34-10 at halftime.
AU took the opening possession of the second-half and Rogers hit
Van Norris for a 31 yard score and AU trailed 34-17.
After a pair of Lakeland scores, Spartan
Connor Olson returned a kick 80 yards for a score. At the end of three, AU trailed Lakeland 48-25.
The final score was 55-25.
