The Aurora University softball team traveled to Concordia University Wisconsin and swept the host Falcons winning 8-1 and 4-0.

Lauren Huebner was was two for four with two runs scored.
Elaine Walker was two for four with a double, one run scored and one run batted in.
Mandey Shrader was two for five with a double, two runs scored and one run batted in.
Laura Dierking was one for four with two runs batted in.
Amie Raynor was one for three with a home run, one run scored and one run batted in.
Vanessa Hartzell had her streak of hitless innings end at 15 innings. She tossed the complete game with one unearned run allowed and scattered four hits while striking out 12.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first, Mandey Shrader led off with a double and scored on a ground out by Larkin Langston. With two outs, Elaine Walker reached on a dropped fly ball and came all the way around to score on a second Falcon error.
- The game remained 2-0 until CUW scored once in the fourth. The unearned run came off a two-out dropped third strike.
- The Spartans answered the CUW score with one of their own in the fifth. Lauren Huebner singled and scored on a double from Walker.
- In the sixth, Amie Raynor led off with a solo home run. The Spartans added two more runs in the inning with three more hits and one Falcon error. After 5-1/2 innings, AU led 6-1.
- AU added two more insurance runs in the seventh, once again taking advantage of timely hitting and two CUW errors.
- The Spartans would win by an 8-1 score.

Britni Wilson threw the complete game shutout, scattering nine hits and struck out five.
Laura Dierking was one for three with a home run, two runs scored and one run batted in.
Logan Cahill was one for three with a home run, one run scored and one run batted in.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans scored a run in the first inning when Laura Dierking reached on an error with one out and scored on a double from Elaine Walker.
- AU senior Logan Cahill hit a solo home run in the second to extend the lead to 2-0.
- Spartan pitcher Britni Wilson worked out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the second to keep the AU lead at 2-0.
- In the third, AU took advantage of a lead off walk to Lauren Huebner. Mandey Shrader was hit by a pitch and the two Spartans advanced to second and third on a wild pitch. With one out, Larkin Langston drove in Huebner with a sacrifice fly out and AU led 3-0.
- Laura Dierking hit a solo home run in the fifth the end the games scoring and AU went on to win 4-0.
