The Aurora University women's volleyball program hosted the Jim Coleman Memorial Classic in Thornton Gymnasium and the Spartans defended their home court, going a perfect 4-0 in the two-day classic.
On day two, AU defeated University of Dubuque 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-21) and North Park University 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-23). With the pair of 3-0 wins, AU went a perfect 12-0 on the weekend.

Emily Lines and Imani Freeman were all named to the Jim Coleman Memorial Classic All-Tournament Team.
In the win over Dubuque, AU was led by
Katie Vondra who a double-double, hitting .333 with 13 kills and 15 digs. Junior setter
Emily Lines dished out 31 assists while freshman Imani Freeman had 12 kills while freshman libero
Julia Wood had 26 digs.
In the final contest of the classic against the North Park, AU was again in control of the match throughout. Lines had 24 assists,
Karli Chambers had 10 kills, while Vondra had nine kills and
Hannah Lanasa had seven kills.Â
AU Head Coach
James Seitelman won his 100th contest at the helm of the Spartans with the 3-0 win over North Park. He is now 100-63 in his fifth season at AU and 133-118 overall in eight seasons.
The Spartans are now 25-6 overall on the season.
Next action for the Spartan women's volleyball team comes on Thursday, November 2 when they host the semi-final round of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament. AU will take on a winner of the quarterfinal game on Tuesday, October 31 with game time at 7:00 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium.
